In 1993, the Professional Series line of rack-mounted balanced power products from Equi=Tech was introduced into the marketplace making these the first commercial balanced power systems ever offered for sale. Over the years, the technology has evolved as this award-winning product has gained a reputation among professional engineers for its ruggedness, dependability and as a highly effective means of reducing noise. Pro series systems are designed as workhorses for 24/7 around the clock operation in the most demanding professional environments. They are as finely tuned as any product Equi=Tech offers but without all the frills that some of the other products have. Equi=Tech invested these costs into higher quality components and wiring methods that insure the demanding level of high performance and fail-safe operation required by professional engineers.
Inside of each system is a highly efficient, precision engineered toroid isolation transformer assembled with a patented winding method that makes Equi=Tech rack-mounted systems the most accurately balanced systems in the marketplace. Aside from having an output voltage that is balanced within one millivolt, the output impedance is also perfectly balanced thereby providing a much greater bandwidth of harmonic noise attenuation than can be achieved using any other product.
Each system is equipped with dual Faraday shields, providing superior isolation and over 100dB common mode noise attenuation between the power source and the balanced outlets. Outlet to outlet isolation is further enhanced by additional EMI/RFI filtering on selected digital outlets. The systems are also well shielded magnetically, making them safe to use near any type of sensitive electronic apparatus. Every Equi=Tech balanced power system meets these exacting criteria. Equi=Tech products have represented the state-of-the-art in balanced power technology from the very beginning and continue today to be regarded by professional engineers as the most refined and effective products of their kind.
The Many Advantages of Equi=Tech Rack Systems
Superior Construction -- The quality in construction and design separates Equi=Tech rack systems from all others. Every system employs only passive components guaranteeing long life, ruggedness and dependability. High temperature copper wire and high pressure shrink-wrapped terminals are protected from corrosion and provide 10 times the contact surface area of other plug-in type terminals. The units are designed to run cool when fully loaded -- up to 25 degrees C. cooler than other high power equipment. And, unlike similar products, they won't fail even under momentarily high or low voltage conditions.
Advanced "Silent Source Technology"™ -- As the "Pioneer of Balanced Power", we have over twelve years of experience invested in researching and developing balanced power products. They are absolutely the quietest of all AC power products in every way immaginable. They are also the most accurate and effective balanced power systems in the world. We are constantly striving to build a more effective product. We have developed many new manufacturing procedures and designs, constantly breaking new ground in an effort to improve our systems. The payoff is in providing our customers with the most rugged, dependable and effective power products that money can buy. Equi=Tech Balanced Power Systems set the standard of excellence for all others to follow. Silent Source Technology™, exclusively from Equi=Tech, encompasses numerous power technologies and is the result of years of research and improvements in our products. There are simply none better.
.
Many Uses -- Rack systems can be installed in amp racks, effects racks and in a variety of other locations including mixing rooms, 24-track tape transport racks with or without Dolby™, hard disk recording systems, effects racks, instrument racks, front of house consoles, ADAT™ project studios, editing suites, digital workstations, portable PA systems, sound trucks, broadcast booths, sound sweetening rooms, ENG, microwave links, recording trucks, video racks, TV remotes, foley rooms, stage sound carts, uplink remotes, etc. Larger rack systems are ideal for power hungry automation power supplies used with larger consoles. They can also be used to power large PA systems or entire sound, video or broadcast production trucks. Two or more systems can be operated in parallel for any application with no loss in effectiveness.
.
Convenient Size -- The Models 2R (2000VA) and smaller require only 2 rack spaces (3 1/2") to install. Often space is at a premium and their compact size wastes no precious space in an equipment rack. Manufactured with uncompromising quality, they deliver the same amount of power as much bulkier similar products do, and despite their size, they stay cool even when run under a full load. Larger rack systems also deliver a lot of power for their size. The 3 rack unit version can deliver 5 kVA. The largest rack system is only 7" (4 ru) high but it provides up to a 10 kVA output (5 20-amp circuits.)
.
Tested Safe -- Only Equi=Tech rack systems are tested and certified to meet the highest ANSI/UL standard (Std. #1012) for AC power distribution equipment. No one else manufactures balanced AC equipment that meets this standard. Equi=Tech systems have been tested and certified to be dependable and safe in almost every situation.
.
Easy to Install -- Rack systems install in minutes. After the rack system is mounted in the rack, just unplug all of the plug strips and equipment from the AC wall outlets and plug them into the outlets on the rear panel of the Equi=Tech..
we are users as well as dealers, our audio, video and computers are powered by equitech, no other way.
there is no tax, and feel free to email about the options available on any of the Equitech line. Knowing your amp draw for the gear is important, let us know if we can help
